Analysis of A Warning

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Jump in the Word at the deep end first
And make your way to the surface
Then swim to the shallow end
While searching for your purpose

This pool does not close at dusk
But opens up at dawn
And when you jump in and swim
You’ll see what’s going on

Don’t seal up the Word!
