Analysis of Puntarenas February 2012
distant throaty bark
of a howler monkey says
it's time to be up
the mountain trembles
half a second then subsides
earthquake Tico style
lovesick cicadas
shatter the afternoon with
their funeral song
country fiddle moans
headlights pass on the highway
good talk with good friends
adiós los ticos
adiós la pura vida
adiós corazόn
