Analysis of Poor Ukraine
Saw the bodies
Just lumps on the ground
Destroyed buildings
Debris all around
The war is with us
As we watch safe in our homes
With no dying children
Mothers left alone
The images are graphic
The scenes surreal
As Ukrainians flee
And Russia kills
War is ugly
It's nasty and mean
It wounds your soul
Makes you scream
Yet on they fight
While their cities burn
The whole world watches
As the Genocide churns
The silence so deadly
No people in the streets
Burned out tanks and rubble
Tracers with their deadly streaks
A Nation is struggling
Just wanting to be free
Someone needs to tell Putin
To let the Ukraine be

About this poem
Watch the National News channels on television this weekend and saw the damage and carnage the war in the Ukraine is causing. So sad that a free loving democratic nation has to fight for it's freedom in this day and age.
