Analysis of alternative forms of falling

in the way a gentle river loves
her embankments keeping her at bay
a tender caress for her lovely lover
a touch to soften dirt walls

and how a package loves
the funny tickle of packing peanuts
lowered from warm grasp
to their little playful kisses

and how the sweltering sun loves
the familiar greeting of the horizon
band-aids, cold compress to the brow
whispered praise and all is well

and the dandelions struggling in a lot
cracking through stone to reach the sun
resilient and in them,
a flicker of eternal flame

forged and found and
love fiery with spitting sparks
popping of bones crackle of wood
a lighthouse in the dark

this is a love that bleeds through pages
pooling into puddles that stain the skin
holding the pulsing folded heart
cupped by gentle hands
like when Prometheus made man
infused with heavenly fire
