Analysis of Holding Hands
Holding hands, a simple
gesture with unfathomable
meanings. Seated next to me,
smooth hands, such tasteful
nail polish, her fingers once again
accidentally touch mine and, this
time, we don't exchange "oops,
sorry," but consider its message,
perhaps a green light to entwine
our hands. We do. The smooth
electricity, racing heart, the
unmitigated joy of having
crossed that hurdle.
