Analysis of DROP OF RED

Richard Allen Grey 1971 (WV)

Like silk flowing, deep running red
Throughout this pain-staked land.
Cleansing this realm within my head
But forever stained are my hands.

For I am society, a wretched creature
Brought forth by the hands of time.
Created by so-called human nature
Fulfilled by your death and crime.

I dwell in the tears cried by a mother
For a son that is lost to crack.
A green-eyed altruist waiting for others
To unleash my savage attack.

So, follow me down this road I've made
Bring this hatred that i have instilled.
A life unfinished is what you have found
And a world is what you have killed!
