Analysis of Therapeutic Art, Arts Pacification
Art of the past now hangs in a cage
They decorate the walls like an unoffending pastel.
In Doctors Offices, Nursing Homes, they have been sterilized by the culture that once tried to cut knives through it.
It has now become the prop of therapists in their profession their field of knowledge.
The depiction of the Peasant Farmers in their revolt, who are shown guiding a white horse by the reins.
Is no longer the black horse of the apocalypse. It has been pacified by a public who hangs it without wanting to know the meaning of it's subject.
Now the brush strokes of a dead artist are reproduced, done again to please the hearts of delicate old ladies.
It is in the hands of the middle class now, who have very little patience for revolutionary themes, things which alter their consciousness
to a higher level. Things that suggest a change in our society.

About this poem
This poem comes from being an art major and not doing anything in that field. It expresses my disappointments in the current society and how it treats creativity and the potential it has for communicating real content.
