Analysis of do you see

do you see?
i am not you.
i am not a genius who cannot cry.
i am not a father who knows how to lie.
i am not a husband who cheats on his wife.
i am not doing anything you did in life.
i am not happy, because that's what you are.
i am not trying, because you want me to.
i will never push myself to who i really am,
because that will prove everything you say, right.
i am not smart, because you say i'm just like you.
i am not clever, so they won't compare.
i am not a leader anymore, because you lead
and i can't be your daughter, i'd rather grieve.
