I spend my days
in solace and deep thought
counting the long hours?
until the awareness I search for
will come.
I spend my nights
bathed in the touch of a lover
a strange and beautiful one
who will lift me further into
the unknown.
I spend my subconsciousness
deep into the eddy
of all new things that
the touch of sleep can bring,
I am ready
