Analysis of When Love Is Only Memory
We were drenched
standing underneath a tree.
There was similarity between she and me.
Both were truants.
I was nineteen
and she was sixteen.
The crystal drops
were dripping from her hair.
They dared to kiss her eyes, lips even brest.
I was tantalized.
My daring heart was enticed.
Today I am standing
underneath the same tree.
But there is a difference
between that day and today!
I am alone, wet
, and burdened by ill fate.
