Analysis of Depressions’ Fate

She listens to her mind
Without saying one word
Shedding silent tears
A tight ball, amongst her sheets.

She lies waiting
For the clouds to disperse
They reside is the dark corners
Of her frayed mind
Floating, invading, poisoning
Her brain with anxious thoughts
With pain.

Her eyes close in sleep
Her brains’ only reprieve
Dreams of happiness
Dreams of yesteryears
Pop like bubbles
When she awakes.

She waits patiently
For light to break her dark
For Sunshine on her turmoiled thoughts

She awakens from her slumber
To cobwebs shimmering with dew
Startled to feel the sun on her face
Shattered pieces of happiness
Creating small cracks
In her blackened state.
Her mouth twinges and her lips curve upward
To what maybe a smile.

Although the light has brought reprieve
Fragments of anxiety and of pain
Still rear their tormented head
Waiting for the other shoe to drop
She anxiously awaits depressions’ Fate
