Analysis of A Place in the World

Running from pole to pillar,
From one goal to another
watching things at 2x speed,
fearing from slowing down as it's hard to see,
the dark loneliness that's alone waiting,
soon rises the chaos within me,
The silence screams in the wilderness of night.
I lay down on my pillow, it knows all
Tossing, turning and struggle through the night
To slowly drift away in my mind
Doubts and fear visit me
As the rumors come whispering to me like screams
Moonlight shines off the tears
I shut my ears, my scars salt
As I bleed out my fears
Am I not enough
Or is it just that people which are obsessed by something that blots out,
the world where I am me
I saw things not as they were
But as I was, deeply looking for what I wished to find.
Forcing laughter, faking smile are all long gone.
I feel missed, as my tears ricochet,
missed by the right ones, tripped by the wrong
I'm not the only one who feels so,
but I'm alone, on my own
I'll be strong, I'll be wrong
But life goes on
I'm just a girl,
trying to find place in this world,
Trying to find a place in this world.
