Analysis of All Around And Everywhere

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

All around and everywhere.
The signs of these times,
Are there to see.
To believe and be aware of them.
And still gone to be ignored,
People have been made convinced...
The obviousness of its appearance,
Has nothing to do...
With their involvement to implement.

When lies to tell are believed to deceive,
This spreading done effectively...
Leaves minds unconscious,
Used as tools to affect their mentalities.
And left victimized to accept,
Self inflicting themselves and others.
Is not only expected.
But also the best thing to do.
As a way of life to live it.
With a doing to refuse,
A demeaning others to abuse...
Will leave them the victors.
And not the fools intended,
Purposely to become.
Without a thought of it done.
As if the benefit of this,
Eventually rewards their ignorance!

'How dare you call,
What I do to myself and others ignorant!'

'Okay.
I apologize.
I should have known,
What is obvious to witness...
Is an approved and accepted way of life.
You are prepared to defend,
As a normal way to live and protect...
Your entitled right to live as you wish.'

'I accept your acknowledged,
Yet reluctant need to apologize to me.
And from now on I suggest...
Keeping your unsolicited,
Negative opinions to yourself.'

'So right you are.
Afterall...
I realize more everyday,
Saying what I see to believe...
Does leave me depicted as being,
Unpatriotic!'

'Exactly.
And a nonconforming maverick as well.
Since these days around here,
Is definitely a no-no to express.'

'I have to admit,
When I began to change my diet...
I had my own reservations too.
Everything I thought to believe,
Began to conflict with beliefs of others.
And with a reality I had been taught.
I struggled to swallow,
That very first bite I had...
Into a hummus sandwich. Ugh!'

'Hummus.
If I had not been told,
It was soy bean curd...
I would have refused.
And just dealt with the mayo,
Lettuce and sliced tomato.
But no.
I was feeling adventurous then.
You see...
I had been addicted,
To digesting everything as fast as I could.
Lies to hear.
With a spreading as quick as possible,
Gossip from one ear to the next.
Then a feeding on fast cooked food,
Caring less...
What it was prepared that quick,
To eat dripping between two buns.
Enjoying the delicious taste,
Of deception to lick off my fingers.'

'Well...
Huh?'

'I use to pride myself,
On feeding exclusively on truth.
After that experiment.
Believing I could and would reduce,
To eventually eliminate all delusions.
So wrong was I.'

'I...
What?'

'I apologize.
I now realize...
Being a vegetarian,
Has its consequences to pay...
To obtain and maintain mental clarity.
So wrong was I to ever believe,
That statement to make...
Had promise to be,
An everlasting change for all humanity!
And...
Believe this or not.
A lot of people have nut allergies.
They can't even be around them!'

'Trust me.
You need not try to convince me of that.
In fact...
I thank you for sharing,
What has been made to me very clear.
Oh...
And by the way.
That would be chickpeas.
Or...
Garbanzo beans.'

'Oh?
So...
What does that have to do with nuts?'

'You have proven,
That my staying away from them...
Will leave me to enjoy,
A hummus I make to taste myself!'

'I've got to go.
For whatever the reason,
Allergies I did not before have...
Have begun to flare up!
And thanks again for reminding me.'
