Analysis of A DIFFERENT POINT OF VIEW

Our love she lit on fire,
Without a second thought.
She has no idea of the
Lesson that she taught.

It is surely one,
I will never forget.
   Allowed myself to love her,
My biggest regret.

My tormented soul meant nothing,
Neither one cared if I survived.
   My character's will to live,
The reason I'm still alive.

The person I used to be,
Nothing remains.
   A much wiser person,
Came from the flames.

Some days are a struggle,
Just to get out of bed.
   These demons rule my heart
 and control my head.

I believe in myself,
Beyond a shadow of a doubt.
   I was worried, I thought
There is no way out.

I should have prepared myself,
For that dreadful day.
   Without a word,
She just ran away.

I still find it hard to breathe,
A weight upon my chest.
   She lied when she said,
She did her very best.

If I could have a do over,
I would pass this time.
   It is fragmented memories,
That destroys my mind.

My life is complete and
Utter mess.
She is oblivious to my pain,
She couldn't care less.

For me, loving her
Felt right and true.
   She never mentioned,
She had a different point of view.
