Analysis of Becoming.

Joseph Ippolito 1963 (Edinburgh)

The journey does begin when to this measured plane of
conscious time and dust came forth a travelling spirit
seeking warmth and love. Alas the love that willing wisp had
wished came not to he and now a soul on wing his light does
range. To be alone his lot this life, to gain a son and lose a
wife, he gazed below on fields of poppies dry and shed the
tears which fell from laiden skies as pearls on people laid in
earth below.

About this poem

I would say the poem/proetry speaks for itself. But primarily the piece is about becoming, being, living, yearning and ultimately dying in a world in which there is seemingly no rhyme or reason as to why we take the form we do applying to all conscious and living forms of life..

I am a musician piano mainly. I love composition. I love art and have travelled widely. Japan is my true heart home. I love running, writing and I am an outdoors person with a deep love of nature and the wonders of the universe. I love the sound of waves crashing on the shore and have a profound affinity for Sandwood Bay near Cape Wrath in Scotland. I have one dog a collie. I had two but Gloria sadly passed away after an illness of long duration. She, Daisy's mum, still breaks my heart after two years. more…
