Analysis of ...Leaving New York?

Behold the fleeting glamour of NYC,
Adorned in debris that's PPE*.
Look left or right, glance up or down,
Sights are enough to make most frown.

A law was passed to ban some plastics,
Oafs clapped like seals, deemed it fantastic.
Yet those same dolts who're triple covered,
By wind blown masks not at all bothered.

Gloves and pads, putrid face covers,
That trash the streets, flow down gutters.
They skip and roll down continental shelf,
And down the gullet of Kraken himself.

Tree huggers screech of global warming,
Whilst PPE-swarms in oceans churning,
Signaling virtue, waltz to commune's beat,
While garbage drowns city's streets.

This fetid garb is the town's tinsel,
Refuse to wear, risk being canceled.
Won't give you food, expel from sight,
Arrested are naughty who put up a fight.

The power hungry on a rule decided,
Beware all those who won't abide by it.
Wear ruling class's beastly stamp,
Those who obey, munch at their camp.

Oh, better get your n'teenth booster,
Next you'll be made to squawk like rooster,
Or perhaps get your nethers swabbed,
Compliant don't mind, being wrongly rubbed.

New York is by far not the only place,
Where repressions liberty replaced.
Flights out of dirt and bondage started,
To freer pastures overtaxed departed.

Some stay reclaiming liberties lost,
Yet those who struggle pay high cost.
Resistance starts in hearts and minds,
And sparks of logic, helps courage to find.
