Analysis of A Nova Chance

Renato Sakate 1978 (Botucatu)

Formoso par, José e Maria não haviam
de consumar o matrimônio cientes
de que o universo seria diferente
pelas palavras de Isabel, a prima.

Em Nazaré via-se a estrela cadente
que se mostrava logo mais acima
numa manjedoura em Belém nascia
a nova chance às nações decadentes.

No humilde berço a caridade inflava
os três reis magos em mirra, ouro e incenso
foram mais servos que nós à palavra...

Nestes milênios, trinta e três são imensos
a Árvore eterna sobrevive à lava
à insensatez do homem, vence o bom senso.
