Analysis of .,

I'd say it's been awhile
But it hasn't
I'd say I missed you
But I haven't
I know you
You know me
The me they don't know.
The me they don't want to know.
The me...
I don't want to know.

Why do you come back to me?
Lurking in the shadows,
You hide, but never leave.
You find me when I'm lost.
Only to make me lose myself.
Why?

What do you want from me?
Say it!
When will it be over?
Tell me!
I see you, you coward!
I feel your shadow cast over me.
It's smothering me.
I can't breathe!
There's no light!
I hear your abysmal thoughts.
I can't silence them anymore.
They're not loud, just resilient.
I taste your bitterness on my tongue.
It's rotten, but familiar.
I smell the fear and loathing.
It seeps from my skin.
Just moments ago I was fine.
Why does this keep happening?

Damn you Darkness!
What is your purpose?
Make up your mind Darkness!
Take me or leave me!
Either way, it's over Darkness.
I'm done.
Goodbye Darkness,
Goodbye.

Hello Darkness, my old friend.

Christina Biasiello

I feel I've lived so many lives during my 38 years. I've dreamed, made my dreams come true, and watched some of those dreams crumble along the way. Writing helps me find answers, it helps me heal, it brings me peace, and my hope is that it will do that for others more…
