Analysis of Where Are You?

WHERE ARE YOU?

Where are you?
Now that I need you so much.
As I slowly awaken, I can almost feel your body next to mine.
I can almost see your face smiling in your  sleep.
Are you dreaming of me?
I’m dreaming of you.

Where are you?
I come home from work, slowly open the door.
Yet again, you’re not there to greet me.
Not there to ask about my day;
I can’t ask about yours.
Again, I dream of you.

Where are you?
Oh, to feel you arms around me,
Trying to hold me closer than physically possible,
Gently taking my face in your strong hands,
Kissing me until I can’t remember my name.
I’m still dreaming of you.

Where are you?
Late at night your pillow remains untouched.
Yet, as I turn out the light, I can almost feel you turn to me,
Pulling me close to you,
Passion rising uncontrollably.
The heat possessing me completely,
Taking me to that magical place only you know the directions to;
A place I never knew existed;
A place you share only with me.
I need to stop dreaming of you.

Where are you?
I deserve you,
You deserve me.
And yet, I don’t even know your name.
How could I, since we’ve never met.
How do I stop dreaming when the dream is all I have?

Where are you?
Will I ever meet you?
Or am I forever destined to be a prisoner of my dreams?
