Analysis of Charity Came Too Late
On the cold stone steps of the church was where I found him
Strapped to his soul with only his faith to shield him
I searched the depth of his eyes and found my own courage
We both wept
For we know that the dreams he dared to dream were swiftly stolen away
Like a flash of lightning on a dark and stormy night
I left him as I found him
A broken man
