Analysis of Generous

Generous 2003 (Massachusetts)

It is generous the way I look at him
The way that I laugh at his jokes and let my smile reach my eyes

It is generous the way I let him touch me
The way his hands slide over my skin and I allow myself to grasp onto the way he loves me

It is generous the way that I speak to him
The way I open my heart to him and let the words fall off my tongue like they never used to

It is generous the way that he lets me touch him
The way my mouth moves over his torso and he allows me to take it out on him

It is generous the way I invite him to my last day
The way that I sit with him under the stars and feel safe in his arms for the last time

It is generous the way I let you drag me down with you
The way that your voice stays present in my mind and I allow myself to follow your lead
