Analysis of To be Misunderstood

Myles Kristopher Bowie 1986 (California)

Everyone thinks they've got it figured out
I mean, who can really know where one hurts?
You think you know me, what you talkin bout?
Think you read minds, yet don't know how it works.

Don't say I'm average, because I'm not,
You say I'm disturbed; you don't understand.....
You say I'm unique, don't you get it? Stop!
Don't judge me for who you think that I am.

To be misunderstood in itself hurts
Approach me with an open heart and mind
The other approach, is the worst on earth,
A preconceived verdict will make you blind.

There is way too much to learn in this life.
Too precious to pass up..... thinking you're right.
