Analysis of Return Home

Empty and Alien the flat felt bleak
Without our familiar belonging
On the Library Couch
Hidden by a fort of blankets
I met Arson

We were shy to start
But by the fire we soon melted
We became a bond
In front of the dancing flames
Never to be separated

Then I saw a black shadow
A monster looming in the distance
They hid and cowered
Away from explosive violence

One wrong move set spark
A maze of bombs
Tracking their every move
A fist plants purple bruises

Ruining the comfort of before
They're scared of any help
Fearing previous company
The living zombie separates us

Slurring as it stumbles
Someday it will ache
Like the ache it causes
We will move away from here
Family or not

Back to blanket Forts
Warm laughter like marshmallows
It doesn't have to end in violence
