Analysis of Painful Lies

In the middle of the night,
When the storm begins to set,
I can feel the emptiness,
I can taste the anger yet,

The agony I am feeling,
That is lingering inside,
Is such a darkened feeling,
One I cannot hide,

The pain that settles not,
Torments my very being,
What is the truth that is not,
No truth to be forgiven,

Lies that filled my life,
Continue to be so bold,
With every passing stranger,
Another yet is told,

My body is tired from pain,
My soul awaiting darkness,
The agony that you brought,
Even now you cannot confess.
