Analysis of OUR ARDOR
One day long ago in yesteryear
In the tallest tower of a castle of light
My maiden fair in a long dress of white
Looked down with a soft and solemn tear.
And there below in an ocean of pines,
There ran a stream of azure blue
Where you met me and I met you,
And we drowned our spirits in an sea of wines.
Now the moon ascends in the peaceful night
Over the bastion’s windows above
As we hear the song of an angel’s love
Praising our ardor in a vale of delight.
