Analysis of Feelings From The Heart

Quanesha Burgess 1984 (columbia)

Torn and worn, breathless am i,
to still be living a lie.
Lies have tied me to unwanted places,
where lies cannot die.
Forgiveness is key to all that is unseen,
as well as the things we hate.
Affronted and wounded by awful words,
from those who could never relate.
Punished and abused as well as used,
I feel helpless and alone.
I am seemingly still waiting for something,
that hasn't been shown.
