Analysis of Alien Eyes

Travelling through the depths of space,
In search for life of a different race.
Looking across the universe,
Planets and stars appear diverse.

One cluster has been researched through,
A galaxy in which many have flown into.
The aim to reach a solar system,
With one main planet that cannot help but glisten.

Finally the solid globe can be seen,
Beauty shows in colours of blue and green.
Soft white cloud coat the atmosphere,
Splendour and fascination as the planet become clear.

Closer and closer the craft draws in,
Time for deceleration to finally begin.
As predicted intelligence can be seen,
The race is a definite match to a human being.

Starting to fly through the skies,
It does not take long to realise,
All this glory is hidden away,
For all man's mistakes are here to stay.

All good feelings now fade,
A dark blanket covers like shade.
The race is guided by power and greed,
So much so it is hard to believe.

How can these human beings be so thoughtless and unkind?
Not even this wonderful planet in mind.
Do they not realise what the future has in store?
Can they not see the consequences of war?

Not a hint of compassion to one another,
Each one causes the other to suffer.
Intelligent yet unable to be civilised,
This whole race is beginning to subside.

Changes happen around strong and fast,
It is nature's turn to cause a blast.
Natural disasters increasing all the time,
Mother Nature has laid the sentence to fit the crime.
