Analysis of Petals

flower petals trailed where she treaded,
even lightly,
as to not disturb the delights she described.
But sometimes
she’d dance like the devil,
vigorous and violent,
in hopes of vanquishing the venom
that coursed through her veins.

But she would then look at the damage she’d done,
and wonder was it worth it?
For to sooth her inner self
was to soil her saviors,
what a crude violation of virtues that is.
