Analysis of You May

You may write me down as history,
With your schemes so full of lies,
You may stomp me down in the dirt,
But like the dust I too shall rise.

You may think of me,
With only hatred and regret,
You may say you never loved me,
And wished that we had never met.

You may move on,
Leaving me in the past,
I may become that memory,
That reflected a regret that didnt last

You may try and say,,
Things I dont want to hear.
And treat me like the plague,
That noone would come near.

You may do all of these things,
That I cant myself control
But theres there is one thing you cannot do
And that is take away my soul.
