Analysis of i. succulents

watering the succulents
green in some places, brown in others
because the sun does not reach the window
watering the succulents
outside my door, people love, fight, fuck
and i take care of them
because who else will?

watering the succulents
nevermind the volunteer hours, the homework, the tryouts
because i wanted them so desperately
satering the succulents
knowing they will die, not caring
because they are everything i have
and all that will ever be
