Analysis of A broken heart

A broken heart 1983 (Philadelphia)

How can the person I love
Cause me so much pain,
How can he act like he dont care
And leave me in the rain.

How can he tell me he love me
But his actions don't show,
Why does it hurt so bad
I really need to know.

My heart hurts bad
And I cry at night,
Something has to change
This shit just ain't right.

How can I love him
And hate him at the same time,
How can I claim him
And tell people he's mine.

He act like I don't exist
Like im not even there,
Why don't he love me
This just isn't fair.

What have i done wrong
To make him act this way,
It's killing me to leave
But also killing me to stay.

I fell in love
With a man I thought loved me,
Only to find out
Our love wasn't meant to be.
