Analysis of THE END OF DAYS

The end of days is nearing
When we all pay for our sins,
The end of life, the end of death
When something new begins.

When Jesus returns to save us all
From an evil world, that we created,
And we are punished for our sins
Until justice has been sated.

The end of life is coming fast
Like a lethal express train,
And all the evil money-changers
While find everything has changed.

Money-hungry ne'er-do-wells
Who only ever think of themselves,
Will find Heaven is beyond their reach
As Satan calls them down to Hell.

The end of days brings new hope
For those whom life has left behind,
And those who looked out for number one
Will have a sudden change of mind:

Too late they'll try to make amends
And change their sinful ways,
But the Lord won't tolerate hypocrites
As we reach the end of days.

The hungry will, at last, be fed
The homeless will have a place with God,
The Billionaires who trod on others
Will be reduced to whimpering dogs.

The end of days cannot come too fast
For those of us who oppose injustice,
And all the lying politicians
Will be trample like frantic mice.

God's foot will descend upon them all
The power-mad and the greedy,
As he sends them all screaming to hell
And up to Heaven takes the needy.

THE END

About this poem

The End of Days is a Christian term for the end of everything; Ragnarok, if you like.
