Analysis of Dirt Diggers Digging
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
Dirt diggers digging,
For smut to uncover...
On one to pick when there is none.
Are often those more affiliated,
At gutter diving than anyone else.
And experts they are.
At creating sensations.
To market for the purpose,
Of exploiting the talents of others.
Others too diverse with skills,
Dirt to dig up on them...
Is a pointless thrill.
Regardless how old that dirt may be.
In these days of corruption.
Advanced by those known,
To be themselves petty thieves.
Make a doing what was done,
A half century ago...
Considered then as scandalous.
Today in the year of 2021?
Is considered for what it is to be.
An introduction to comedy.
A comedy.
Well done to make fun...
Of those pretentious hypocrites.
In the days when hypocrites,
Were not the obvious leechers.
Hiding in costumes.
Their ability to be misfit creatures,
Of humanity.
To have had their naked deceptions bared.
And delusions of self righteousness,
Exposed for what it was.
Technology has changed those times.
With a 'tweeking' that has updated,
Shock and misguided disbelief.
And yet,
As if on a mission to disguise...
Their misdeeds.
The dirt diggers continue to dig.
Only to reveal,
Themselves to be the frauds.
Attempting to cover up and smother,
Decades of a charading to parade...
Morals to value and standards to keep.
Masquerading in a fading of fiction.
Leaving their dirt digging to do,
Producing a revelation...
Of a truth performed to entertain,
A reality that still offends deceivers!
'When should we stop,
Trying to find dirt to dig up on others?'
'Until we stop finding,
All of it on ourselves to uncover.'
'That may take a very long time.'
'Dont worry about it.
We have started enough conflicts,
To keep the people distracted...
For many years to come.'
'But...
What about the darkness.
We are heading towards total darkness.'
'Well...
At least we are achieving,
Something to claim...
We have done to accomplish!
