Analysis of Lois

James Corsale 1965 (Pittsburgh)

“How sweet it would be
To be a Martin with thee

Our flight would be true
‘Cross the Gulf so blue

And we perch on a branch
In a jungle or a ranch

I tweet to you
You chirp back coo coo

Until we return North
Creating a brood
Our flight over reservoirs
To catch our food

And return over and over
Brood after brood
My dowery to you
Alas, only my truest Love”
