Analysis of Ode To Loneliness
Sherry Caayupan 1980 (Davao city)
Adrift in the sunken pearls,
Lurks my wounded heart;
A penny for the wishing well,
The love will never depart;
Tears of saddening has gone a train,
I moped a winding river;
The sun sets on my windowpane,
My neglected heart shivers;
When will this oblivion end?
I've already unfound you;
What's left is none to mend,
Your meek absence sounds aloud through;
Take my scarred heart and undo the pieces,
I am drenched, left broken;
My heart has become empty spaces,
My lips alone and shaken.
