Analysis of GREAT IS HE THATS WITHIN ME

GREAT IS HE THAT IS IN ME
  13th-10-2019

Great is he that is within me,
How great thou art has to be.
Greater is he that is within me
Words of that song sets free
Greater is he that is with in me
It’s not for me to say just let it be.
It isn’t God, nor Jesus or Satin
Some say I’m mad when I’m creating
Greater is he that is with in me
Doc says it’s my inner child.
Great is he that is within.
Doubt not & take it all in
Doubt is that killer that blocks all.
Part of belief if you crash, dive or fall
He’s is alive & active knows me well
I reflect within & I hear him tell
He’s not in control, I steer my soul
And can swear he’s no dam devil,
Always he’s true on the level
Great is he that is within me
When I’m inspired I feel free
Maybe an angel or maybe a ghost
The one who loves me the most
Bubs he’s called when I’m alone
When I need a friend he’s always home
Love to play when I’m lost for words
Helps me place them for sweet rewards
Runs amuck when it’s time to paint
Performing music he lets me acquaint
Always around when I seek to desire
The work is great explodes like fire
I may be crackers as I don’t please others
Great is he that’s within me, what bothers.

About this poem

INNER CHILD STORY HOW IT CAME ABOUT Being alone most of my life had me talking to myself when I’m alone but in Perth before I went to UNI to study art I lost my profession as a professional Boilermaker Welder I did for a living. I was working for Grants Elevators Perth when I injured my back heavy lifting at work. I didn’t claim third party compensation but my doctor bills were expensive so the insurance people fixed it, I couldn’t get work anymore in my profession ever again. That left me with no wages, unemployment benefits then wasn’t much so I had to busk at night to survive. the loss of my profession kept me as being useful & the conflicts with the cops all the time slowly letting me down as coppers hated buskers to them I was a bum. I sang country music in the streets of Perth and at night large crowds of Aboriginal gathered listening as there was nothing for them to do other than drink themselves to death as WA business folks won’t hire any what so ever at the time. That bought me in direct conflict with the cops regularly; I placed a video cam inside my busking cart & shot some of the most graphic horror vides & picks ever seen in Perth. It made me my quite famous but the media despised me. .It stressed me out somewhat with cops about & Good Friday 1992 I tried to jump off the R&I Tower & it too made the news. Had to go with the story in the paper or a mandatory sentenced of five years imprisonment for endangering a cop’s life? If I do that no jail & no record against me. I hit rock bottom losing my profession & the state awarded me counseling & sent me to Sister Peters; to a Vinnie’s social worker who was an expert in train wrecks like me and abuse counseling so began. In the midst of the counseling, their healing therapy locating a person’s inner child is what brought me back to my senses. Sister Peters was a soup kitchen and amities run by St Vincent’s de Paul’s where I went to computer classes, creative writing, learning Microsoft word & joined the Monday art classes where I became real good. In the therapy I obtained something special, finding something unique within that has always been my secret, but it’s how I began to change & transform to recover. Johno' did the correct justice and I was taught how to believe in myself, the system failed me always wanted to jail me for speaking out I went to public abuse rally’s & took on public speaking classes at Perth Tafe.I became proficient with the computer and built a fabulous collection I took picks & vids all the time when the cops ran amuck they rewarded me with unconditional material and I began writing verses at the writing group & started writing my own songs I joined the WA Country music club who liked my songs. New days ministries also loved my country gospel verses & I sang them on Saturday night coffee shop, Sunday in church & Mondays I sang on stage at the Manning Hotel WA Country music club. Had to go to the Thursday night workshop to appear on stage Monday night. I sung all my material , I wrote songs for others as well. Songs are poetry first.
