Analysis of Fly Free, Butterfly

Sherry Caayupan 1980 (Davao city)

Oh, dainty butterfly,
Come to me in the night;
I could care less,
For a caress,
By your wings, blow your kiss;

Flutter free and flutter far,
Your freedom seems to flicker in the dark;
The firefly's beauty seemed dull,
His light bear a light null,
Of your clamoring beauty by far;

Cast me down your silver dust,
I am but an innocent man of dusk;
To relish the elegance of your wings,
And feel the life that it brings,
By a hand, I'd make a touching fling;

Your unforgettable visit,
Of tonight's endless transit;
Brought doors to open,
Beauty to undyingly blossom,
Beauty afloating shall sinkly be deepened;

The night's unending beacon,
Shall let me fall into your sea;
Swimming into your sea free,
Of butterfly strokes made with glee,
And into an ocean pure of reverie.
