Analysis of Outdated Purpose
Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)
I may have been born taught to teach,
To do foolish things.
As if this path in life I should take.
Finding this way easier to escape,
From being labelled a noncomformist.
You know...
Someone who refused,
To be identified as another fool.
But I was not the one,
To accept limits and labels.
Or allow myself restrictions on me placed.
For whatever the reason,
I had been blessed to be different.
Choosing a path to adventure,
To explore in my own way.
I awakened one day to realize this...
Fools may be born,
And encouraged to learn...
Those lessons to them taught.
Just to receive acceptance and approval.
However...
Remaining to stay a fool to please others,
Is not a life to live and depend...
Upon those made fools.
This to discover can be...
For many,
Traumatically dramatic!
Especially for the ones,
Looking for a way out...
From the foolish and stupid things they do.
With this to accuse others,
Who are not fools...
To defend their ignorance.
As if they should be held accountable.
And felt responsible...
For the the choice clowns make to expect,
Acts to perform in a circus...
Guarantees long lasting equal benefits.
To not eventually,
Outdates the purpose for the circus.
Along with those made fools,
Remaining clowns.
All around and in every town found!
