Analysis of If you love someone

Hold strong to what you love
Because one day you might wake up
   And they'd all be gone.
    Is it worth it?
The pain, the sacrifices, the thorns
     Is it worth it?
Every spine broken through the flesh of
      tenderness
      Every refulgence made lackluster
Fear of being lost, yet loosing
        Is it worth it?
        Anything
        Love is like the sun*
        Unobserved when it rises
         Missed when it sets
         Familiarity begets contempt.

The holy books say we were made in an
            image
            image of love
             And I look at murderers.
             Gluttons, home wreckers, defalcators,
             dakoits.
              I look at heartbreakers...
In whose image were they made?
I set my words on fire, the flames come out
                 cold
                 Love is insane
A war lord with no amour
                  A scorpion drained of poison.

If you love someone Kill them
Rip off their hearts and bury them in
                     yours
                     With yours
That way you never get to miss 'em
Miles apart, you  never get to walk
                      alone.
                       Do not drink Romeo's poison
                        Where's the love in that?
                         Do not drown like Jack
                          Even Rose wanted him alive.
                           Kill them!
That way their souls will rise up to
                           you
What do you think of dead people?

About this poem

A love poem that goes both ways, for the lover and the loved. People take love for granted, and most of the time the only people they hurt the most are those that love them. If you love someone, overwhelm them with love, show them because you're not promised tomorrow. What do you think of dead people? God takes them for himself, because he loves them the most.
