Analysis of A LIFE IS LOST IN FOOTSCRAY
A man has died in Footscray
Late spring, one lonely night
And as he died the world laughed on
Indifferent to his plight.
For through no real fault of his own
His life had sunk too low,
And with a knife, he slashed his wrists
And away his life did flow.
Then Sunday when his sister called
She found a note to warn,
To not go in his bedroom for
His life had passed that dawn.
So, yet another life is lost
To indifference and to avarice,
And except by his sister, Denise
His life will not be missed.
For the man had barely any friends
And but two outside his family clan,
So who would mourn or even care
‘Bout the loss of this unloved man.
For lonely people die in fear
Terrified to die alone,
But a man whom no-one really liked
Could only die upon his own.
