ANGEL OF THE APOCALYPSE

I’ve seen the Angel of the Apocalypse
She says that she’ll be here soon,
For all the evil, sinning folk
She says that she's bringing doom.

Money changers with bloated wages
Will be the first to feel her wrath,
The poor, downtrodden, unemployed
Are the ones who shall be saved.

The pollies in their chauffeured cars
Will feel her God-like might,
As for them, the World comes to an end
As daytime turns to night.

Rivers of blood will flow in the streets
As she slaughters the rich and corrupt,
Her judgment shall be swift and fierce
As through her, God’s will shall erupt.

For God has had more than enough
Of sloth, and of stealth, and of greed,
Of rich and bloated high-fliers
Who proudly steal from those in need.

So the wrath of the Lord
Is coming down to Earth soon,
To render the world more liveable
Or leave it as desolate as the moon.

The Angel of the Apocalypse
Will soon have to decide
Whether we deserve to be helped back
to the path of the righteous?
Or whether the human race has to die?

THE END
