Analysis of Frown Ever Forever.

Tracey Mwangi 2001 (Kiambu)

Feelings are what I am,
Attached is what I get,
I passed the infatuations, but the dusty chandeliers still lighting,
They say shoot, but I am not pulling the trigger,
They say dance, but my spirit be somewhere,
I'm beyond a broken glass,
Fragile like a glass,
You say I'm a sinner, yet your blood cannot wash away my sins,
I'm not noisy, I'm rumbustious,
Nixon, an intoxication in the room,
As if I've seen the prophet of doom,
Running and running, there is no destination,
Where I'm I? I think I'm lost,
Wanted it to be a happy ever after for me, but I guess it is clear, it's a FROWN EVER FOREVER.

About this poem

This poem was written during my high school years. Wrote under school supervision and my feelings were haywire. It's all about pouring my closeted feelings into words to free myself.
