Analysis of Home Roams The Buffalo

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

No matter how old the mold,
Continues to grow.
Upon and around that which has been,
Identified as lifeless and fossilized.
It will be given encouragement to flourish.
By the ones who seek desperately to prove,
Home is where the Buffalo roam.
And gnawing their meat chewed off bones,
Cave dwellers prepare to easily impress...
When dressed in suits and ties.
As they practice and rehearse,
The having of wide eyed intelligence...
With a common sense that represents,
Experience in decision making.
Accepted.
To masquerade and charade.

With one exception to detect.
Yet to go unnoticed.
By those who pretend,
To be awakened and aware...
Of having unquestionable consciousness.

'Uh...I...
Come from travels.
Many miles and moons long gone to fade,
Down below Sun setting horizons.'

'Your outfit?
Feathered headrest.
Face painted.
With your butt sitting high,
On a decorated saddle.
You have bells dangling from your ankles.
And bracelets on your wrists.
Are you for real?
Or are we the victims hallucinating,
Some futuristic vision?'

'Your feet?
Bare.
With hair growing between the toes.
Is that a 'thing' here you all do?'

'So what!
Time traveler.
At least our constituents,
Recognize us for who we are.
And determined we are,
Just to stay that way.'

'OH?
Is that right?
My Father,
Proud and mighty...
Restores pride to the minds,
In mysterious ways to display them.
Go I must.
To report...
Ready you are not to sit high on the float.
Of acceptance and change.'

'Dude?
Whatever you smoking in that pipe,
Has got us believing what we vision...
Is either a time from the past we overlooked.
Or...
A future, hopefully...
Time will enable us to prevent.
That kind of pride to have is...
Well,
In my opinion?
Too far out of the closet!'

'Closet?
What be this 'closet'?

'Some of us call them U.F.O.s
And others pretend them not to notice,
How they demand attention and get it quick!
Who has the clippers to do my pedicure?
Maybe it's time to find something,
That appropriately covers our feet.'

'If you ask me,
Growing hair between toes is attractive!
Something that could set new trends.
