Analysis of Challenge and Blessing
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
See that you may be without fear,
Since I do the work of the Lord;
Rather you worship and revere,
While being in one accord.
So let no one ever despise,
Rather conducting forth in peace;
For insight opening their eyes,
So that hostilities may cease.
I strongly urge to visit those,
That are not coming at this time;
Opportunity that one knows,
How to repent for any crime.
Stand firm in faith and be watchful,
Act like as confidently strong;
Speak as truthfully respectful,
Leading them through a spiritual song.
Let all you do be done in love,
That all things done through charity;
The devoting service thereof,
As firstfruits for the Deity.
Devoted service of the saints,
Be subject and submit to these;
Fellow worker without complaints,
Of laboring for God to please.
With coming I rejoice and glad,
For the things in which I do lack;
Comforting of those who are sad,
That repentance remains on track.
May you have refreshed your spirit,
Acknowledging to recognize;
People being through their merit,
That gives wisdom to make them wise.
