Analysis of "Procrastination"

Finishing this project is a bore
These last few weeks have been challenging
“I was going to finish early” I swore

Seconds away from throwing a tantrum on the floor
Stress from these poems are maddening
Sitting here writing feels like a chore

My hands feel sore
Ending this project I’m imagining
“I was going to finish early” I swore

Why do I even try anymore?
Listening to my complaints is saddening
Sitting here writing feels like a chore

As I write I hear a knock on the door
“It's 12 am, why are you studying?”
“I was going to finish early” I swore

I now finish up this war
Between focus and procrastinating
Sitting here writing feels like a chore
“I was going to finish early” I swore
