Analysis of Pop

Justine Martindale 1986 (Virginia)

I do not recall
I do not remember much at all
Except for being exhausted
Maybe that's where I lost it
The room fills with smoke
I began to choke...
"Pop!"
"Stop!"
"The cops are coming by."
"Don't run and hide."
He promised me he was done
Nevertheless, he's still on the run
This makes me so stressed
I feel depressed
Pops got a warrant for arrest
This is all such a mess
He should have stopped at the door
This wouldn't happen anymore
There was nothing I could say
He wouldn't listen anyway
Why is Pop so bad
It makes me sad
"Give up and quit."
"Stop doing this shit."
This is all his fault
He deserves to get caught
I forgive him for what happened
I hope he will not do it again
As I'm looking down
I see Pops on the ground
He refuses arrest
Cops put their guns to the test
He takes offense
He charges like defense
"BOOM!"
-Guess I'll see you soon.
