Analysis of Crossroad
Kaushik Ghosh 1979 (Calcutta)
An unexpected crossroad -
A place where I least expected you to be,
You're wearing the veil of time
But the camouflage did fail to confuse me.
You didn't see me passing by
As your life was standing between me and you;
It didn't bother me the least
As, it was something not meant to be, I knew.
Residing there inside me
Like an old song I hum in melancholy;
You are with me forever -
When I am amidst the crowd, when I'm lonely.
An unexpected crossroad -
Is the place I'll keep expecting you to be,
Sheathed under the veil of time
Buried memories will keep comforting me.
