Life begins at the end of your comfort zone,” My mom would always say. She taught me that my ability to achieve starts in my mind. It’s easier said than done, but by simply learning by doing- within a supportive environment my mother has created for me, I can see that anything is possible. My name is Tanusya Manimuttu, I am 14 years old and I had participated in 200+ International, National , District and School-Leveled tournaments, competitions, and events. Since I was in standard 3, being a Girl Guide has helped me gained more confidence to be independent. My Girl Guide sisters and I stayed in various places during our camps and went through many obstacle courses which I had never done before. Besides that, I was also awarded the “Best Prefect of The Year” for the past two consecutive years and now, an EXCO Prefect. These recognitions were given to acknowledge my performance as one of the leaders who helps maintain the friendly atmosphere and unity in my school.
