Artist's nightmare

I knew it was there
But all I could do was stare

The canvas was blank
It wasn't long before my heart sank

Further and further it went
This was not time will spent

Is it time to eat
Or am I just getting cold feet

It only took a year
We were there
But now we are here

From the constant heat
In the air
And in the food we eat

To a place cold
More noticeably so
Since getting old

From friends we made so dear
Sadly missed
But our family is here

Do you remember when...

I barely remember now

Let alone then



They say we were great

But losing one's memory

That's something I hate



The car I could trust

Now like my brain

Is just full of rust
