I lost my husband of 16 1/2 years in 2022. I have one beautiful daughter, my oldest of 35 passed in 2018. I also have a wonderful grandson, and granddaughter one the way. My life, since losing my husband is the worst thing, besides losing my daughter, to ever happen to me. This past year, I just couldn’t seem to get my feet grounded. Until recently I met someone, he’s also experienced grief. From the first real conversation, we hit it off. Is it possible to fall in love with someone that is open, loving and at the same time they’re confident? Confident, that life could be so MUCH more. And its in that confidence, it has given me strength to believe, that yes, I can love again. That I could so easily fall in love with him. Only this kind of love, I’ve never known before. To walk not behind nor in front of him, but by his side.

Til you

Til you,
My heart had lost its smile …
It lost the ability to see,
The rays of sun, that you feel,

 on a warm summers day..
Til you,
Life had come to a standstill,
It had lost all meaning…
Heartache and tears,
Only time to kill…
Til you,
...
